If you want to try rats, I would suggest a rat fuzzy. They are going to weigh about 20 grams or so...

How much does she weigh in grams? I really recommend getting a digital food scale to monitor her weight, and that way you can feed by the 10-15% rule (feed 10-15% of your snake's body weight). If you want to eyeball, the feeder should be about at thick as your snake's widest part of the body. My very rough guess without photos or a weight is that she can take at least large adult mice/rat weanlings/pups.

I think feeding your snake rats is a good idea. I start all of my balls on rats from birth. Or try to at least.
When your snake outgrows mice, feeding a single rat compared to multiple mice will be easier on you and the snake in the future.

How much does your snake weigh?

Yeah, folks who keep reptiles tend to virtually ignore length, and go by weight. To be honest, '2 feet' means nothing to me, but I understand '500 grams'.

I agree with everyone else. Use the 10-15% range for feeding.

Re: So What Size Should I Feed Her?

Honestly you need to invest in a large bowl and a GRAM SCALE. It takes all the guess work out of feeding and in my opnion is a must for keeping snakes. They are not expensive and make the what size should I feed question dissapear 10-15% BODY weight of rats as soon as I can switch my mousers they all go to rats. I beleive Ball Pythons just do a lot better on rats just my
