In the 20 years I've been breeding snakes I've had several babies that look like that. Granted, percentage wise, it doesn't happen that often. I'd estimate that it's less then 1% of the time. But on the other hand I wouldn't say it'll never happen and people have to be aware of the possibility .

I'm sorry it happened to you on your first clutch, but congratulations on the other 9 hatchlings. The healthy ones are what make it all worth while.
I think you are right, we don't often post about the negatives and frankly, I have kind of a morbid curiosity about things like this. I like seeing/hearing about the bad as well as the good so I know what to expect and also so I don't automatically assume I did something wrong and that it just happens sometimes.

I am super excited about my other little worms. They all seem to be happy/healthy (well maybe not so happy, I got struck at 3 times today just checking on them, none connected though)
