I prefer to use bags for Ball pythons. If you have multiple babies, or smaller species like Corns, delis can provide more structural protection, but for a single specimen, a bag works great.

"Paperwork" is still technically required for the shipment, and for non-commercial shipments, a simple packing list works fine. This can be included under the top box flap, or in an external packing list/invoice envelope.

What inspectors are looking for is confirmation on the contents of the box, species and quantity. You don't have to list value, or "sales price", just what kind of reptile, and how many.
