I originally got my burm to get her out of a bad situation. I did not intend to keep her when I got her. After dealing with her for a while and getting her healthy I couldn't let her go. Just so interactive and fun! Plus taking a bite from her once I realized its nothing to fear. Respect but not fear. My boys are older, 11 and 14 so they have a healthy respect for her, but again, not fear. I don't know what the right answer would be as far as having a baby with a large snake. Personally I would have to guage it on the individual animal and my own comfort with my own habits and responsibility.
