Which style to get?
I'm currently looking at some cages for when my little retics gets all grown up. Which style doors do you all prefer and why? Sliding doors or hinge doors?

I don't have any huge snakes, but I prefer sliding glass doors.
Sliding glass doors never get in the way or can't open all the way due to something blocking them, and most can easily be pulled completely out by lifting up if you need more access to the inside of the cage. (being able to pull the glass completely out of the cage is also really nice for cleaning the glass)
Most hinged doors are made of acrylic which will warp over time and scratches much easier than glass will.

I was leaning with the sliding doors as well. Most places I've seen use sliding doors.

Sliding glass doors sure are handy when you're dealing with a moody serpent, you can open them only as much as required. Drop down and swing doors aren't so handy in such circumstances.

If i had a retic id definetly get sliding glass doors. Ive seen their feeding responses before. I would only want the door open just wide enough to fit my arm through to dangle the rat in and keep the rest of me outta the way haha!

Hubby is building our boa's enclosure and asked me about whay kind of doors. IMO, sliders. I could just see the other ones getting broke. I just like the idea of sliders for so many more reasons.

Pansy, I'd put the rats tail between my teeth and put my head in... What now? Lol
But seriously like everyone else said sliding doors would be my choice as well.
