Question Question on GTP and losing main tooth

My GTP lost one side of his Main tooth. My question is does it grow back? If so how long? If not? Has been able to eat but only mice he is on Live never been able to get on F/T. Has not been able to take down a fussy rat. Just can not keep ahold of it. His mouth is all well now and he has had 4 mice so he has put back most of his weight back on. I just don't like mice for him. If any GTP owners know let me know about tooth. I also have Maxwells book and been reading also.

    Thank You for any help

    Terrance

    Don't worry,
They lose and continually grow teeth throughout their lives. When you think about the abuse their teeth get over time it makes sense to keep them fresh and strong.

i cant tell you how many times i have found teeth in their poop over the years and they keep growing back. its just part of a normal process for them. Just keep doing your normal process. and just look at the inside of the mouth here and there and make sure all looks clean and clear.

How do you check inside their mouth? Is there a trick to it?

As a side note, you shouldn't ever have to put your GTP on rats. They really should remain on mice. Rats often have too much fat for GTPs. 1 large (large - not jumbo) mouse every 2 weeks is perfect for an adult GTP all its life...
