    Frustrating

i have a large plastic finarium and at the moment i have the thermometer and the hygrometer in the tank but i have to crush the wires with the lid so i had a spare one that i could practice on so i had a flame on the plastic and tried to drill a whole through but it just looks so dangerous does anyone have any suggestions thanks?

Drilling through plastic shouldn't be this difficult. No flame necessary. Use lite pressure on the drill. If the edges are sharp after the holes are drilled, you can use a flame to melt the sharp edge or use a de-burring tool if you have one.

Honestly I would go out and pick up a soldering iron, I use that on my tubs and is quick and easier, and they are very cheap. Much easier than using a drill IMO, and you won't have to worry about cracking the plastic
