    Urban camo genetics proved out?

I was wondering if brandon had proved the genes out or is it a special female? I am love this morph and had a whole 7-8 eggs that are cinny 100% het pied. looking to produce some urban camos!!!

Well, he produced another one (or two? I forget) last year, so it's pretty reproducible. But I haven't heard about him proving it out yet? (I guess the theory is: super pewter het for pied? )

Or he thinks it might be a "special" female. I saw he has reproduced it. Brandon said he was going to breed the urban camo to a het pied to see if it was indeed het pied. I was wondering if that breeding has happened? some say it is a pied some say paradox or other.... interesting none the less

It's all a matter of waiting now. The original Pewter female is due to lay within the next 2-3 weeks and the het Pied just ovulated. I only bred the UC to the Pewter female and bred him and normal Pied males to the het Pied. We have another nice, potentially odd, Sterling hatching now with another Pewter Pied. As soon as they emerge from their eggs I'll post pics.

We also just had a Pastel het Pied ovulate that was only paired with our Pewter Pied. That one will also be interesting to see.

Note: Many people have the opinion there is something else going on with the original Pewter female. I have a Pastel het Pied produced by her, different looking enough everyone that sees her says "what the hell is that?". I personally think there is something else going on, especially considering the "Sandblasts" Sterlings we hatched last season. The look nothing like any other Sterlings I've ever seen. Time will tell.

Thank you all for the kind words! I'll post the progress as it happens.

Jackie, you are correct. The original is a Super Pewter 50% het Pied and the second is a Silver Bullet 50% het Pied. We are assuming it's just the het Pied gene at work, but are working at proving the theory. We still stand by the notion there is something else within the line causing weird things to happen.
