I agree with everyone else, it should be ok as long as you keep the warm side at the proper temperature for your snake to digest the meal. The only problem you might run into is if the snake can't digest the whole meal, it may regurg....but where you used a pinkie, it shouldn't be a problem, as that type of food is digested a LOT easier than a prey item with hair.
