    Just turn off the waterfall while you're gone. And if you mist right before you go, you shouldn't have to worry about keeping humidity up while you're gone. He'll be perfectly fine for 7 days (as long as your friend still checks on him...).

    GTPs are not as sensitive as most people think. So often their husbandy is over-thought. Seriously, treat him like any other snake and you'll be fine. If your enclosure holds humidity well, than that's all you need. I have a pvc cage for my GTP and I only mist once every 7-10 days. There needs to be a drying out period or you risk mold and bacteria growth which is far more detrimental to your GTP's health than low humidity.
