Weight gain!
for all who have read my previous posts, you'll know i had a baby that was underweight for his age he was about 73 grams at about 8 weeks old I have had him for nearly 2 weeks now and he has gone from 73 grams to a 107 grams just wondering if this is a good thing? I can defiantly tell he is getting big looking much bigger

Weight gain is one sign of good husbandry. If they're eating, pooping and shedding in one piece, you know you're doing something right

Re: Weight gain!
Just a word of warning, he will drop some of that weight when he poos. That's why I only weigh mine after a "present", or when they are off feed, so I know my weights are as close to "empty" as possible, and truer to the real weight of the snake.

WOW. I did not know they grow that quickly. That's awesome.

Yeah they will grow pretty quick. I picked up my pastel girl at 350 grams in February. She is small for her age too having hatched 2 years ago next month she was a slow starter for the breeder so he held her back but man she sure does eat like a pig now! She is now about 830g! She has really packed it on! Congrats on getting some weight on him but he will lose some when he poos however it probably wont be a whole lot so I dont think he will drop back down to 73g when he does but do expect a small drop. Its a great relief to see some progress though isnt it?

Oh I get it, you didn't want to be able to tell that your snake was getting bigger but you reluctantly had to acknowledge its growth.
Yes, weight gain is a good thing but as others said they lose a lot of weight when they poop. Right after one that's so big you're questioning how it's even possible to come out of that tiny little vent, weigh it.
