Help needed with Boa display enclosure!

My big Dumeril's girl just got her display tank all assembled and looking great!

It's a 4' x 2' x 18" black PVC enclosure with LED light stripe and sliding glass doors. I'm excited to have a display tank (my one and only!) But I'm having a hard time figuring out how to spruce it up.

My Dumeril is so big that none of the "naturalistic" commercial hides are working out for her anymore. She does use the XL Exo-Terra hide, but whenever she goes in it it lifts up about 2" off the ground, like a turtle shell! Which is fine, she likes it so I'm probably going to leave it in there until she gets a bit bigger.

Other than that, I have a plastic dishwashing basin in there (white) that I soldered a big hole in, haha. It's functional, but also very UGLY.

I'm really wanting to go with something naturalistic for this display. No plastic tubs like kitty litter pans, no cardboard boxes, etc. I want them to be pretty!!!

Ideally, I want some nice big hides that have a pebble mosaic sort of thing on them. Like this, but on a hide:





I know I probably won't find exactly what I want commercially, so is there anybody out there who either knows how I would do this? Is there a way to get clay & fire it, but also waterproof it to make it safe to bleach & easy to clean?

If it is going to be too complicated to make my own, is there a source for commercially available hides that are big enough for boas?

Thanks, those look really cool! I don't think that would turn out as heavy-duty as I'd like though. About once a month I usually take everything out and soak in a hot, soapy bathtub for a couple of hours, and then sometimes bleach afterwards. I don't think that waterproofing spray would stand up to a heavy duty cleaning like that. I could be wrong, though!

Vypyrz must have missed where you said no litter boxes. Thats what those basically are. You could make it out of clay and seal it but you would need one really big kiln. Maybe you could find a art teacher, once school is back in, and they could get some students on it. Something like that would weigh a ton though.

Maybe check around with some landscape places for big fake rocks. Don't know what the inside would be like or if its snake friendly but I'm sure they could tell you. Cut the bottom out of it and you'll have your hide. Its not mosiac but its naturalistic.

Those are the only commercially available hides big enough for large boas that I know of. One idea that I had, and may try, is maybe using one of those plastic hides, or a litter pan, and mounting mosaic or ceramic floor tile to it...

On Amazon they have allot of fake rocks designed to hide things like faucets, plugs, etc. I'm sure you could find one the right size and cut a door in it for your snake. Most I read about were made of abs plastic so they would be strong and durable. Check around to make sure its the right specs to fit. It you find one that is to tall you could trim it down to fit.
