Well today I tried it out starting with a render that took 8 hours to complete before adding the S2050. I was able to complete the render with the S2050 in 45 minutes. This thing is an absolute beast. Now I just need to water cool this thing before my desk catches on fire lol.

How in the heck would you fit a water cooling loop in that 1U case?
That would take some mad skill my friend make sure to share some pics when you do. I gave up on watercooling GPU's in my full tower case because it seemed to cluttered...
Are the PCB's short on the newer Tesla cards like they are on the new GeForce 600 series cards?
Edit: Oh, and 8 hours to 45 minutes is a massive difference. That would be like going straight from a horse drawn buggy to a lambo

100% home made watercooling... I have access to a CNC machine (computer controlled router) So I will be designing the waterblocks in 3d CAD then using CAM software to generate tool paths for the CNC machine. To actually make the waterblocks.
With the air coolers on the tesla cards they would take up 2 PCI slots. Once removed and I mount my custom waterblocks they would fit in 1PCI slot... So they will actually be thinner.
The reservoir, pumps, drain, and radiators will be outside the 1u server case mounted to a rig that I am fabricating.
I can only use the CNC machine when it is scheduled for downtime so it will be awhile before everything is done.

wow, having access to the CNC router must be nice.
I knew the water blocks would make the cards single slot but didn't think about having an external enclosure for the pump, rad, res and everything. Sounds like it is going to be awesome though. Can't wait to see some pics.
If you can't tell, I think I love computer hardware almost as much as I love snakes....almost

I figured it was gonna be homemade. glhf with that and take and post pics!
Wes, with that level of modification to build a homeade to is to say you dont get a closed loop and make that fit for far less effort/work. Or mod the case to the cooler, again less work.
