    newbie question

i currently have a corn snake looking at getting a ball python, with my corn the ambient air temperature dosent matter much as long a it has sufficient belly heat, is this the case with ball pythons also?

Nope, temps are quite different when dealing with pythons.
Do a simple search for a caresheet will tell you everything you need to know.
Correct husbandry will give you a happy and healthy snake!

Also I dont think I'd go so far and to say ambient temps arent important in temperate snakes. Just different than a snake like a bp who is from a semi-tropical savannah habitat.
The temps for a corn are just as important at being correct then temps for a bp.
