220V country thermostats?

Hi! I wonder if anyone lives in 220V electricity countries. Here it is 220V 50Hz and I wonder what are the brands that I can order internationally of thermostats that are safe and good quality? I currently use one that is made for food storage systems instead of herps, it is supposedly very safe in that it is made industsrial strength (no problems for me anyway), but doesn't offer a lot of features like timers, night drops etc. Also it is a on/off type, and the increments are in 1 degree Celsius which sometimes is a little big.

I have been warned by someone experienced NOT to order a popular brand from USA with a different voltage system and rely on a transformer to convert the current.... He said that can cause many potential dangers.

There are likely more but I am in Canada and only know these two. I have german friends and they like both these two. Both make proportional units and dimmers/ on/off.

I would suspect that trying to step down a tric would lead to problems. IF you got that to work properly (pure sein wave one) you would be locked into 110v heaters too. It would be a monumental pain in the butt.
