The single most anticipated clutch of my career and my life!

This is hands down the single most anticipated clutch of ball pythons eggs I will ever have.

    The backstory:

Back in the early '90's, the first piebald ball python was imported into the United States. It was featured on the cover of Reptile's magazine. At that time, I worked for Fancy Publications, the people who printed Reptile's.

I was completely captivated by the animal. I swore that one day, no matter what, I would have one of those beautiful creatures. Of course back then the price tag was in the neighborhood of 20K plus.

Fast forward to 2008. I started shopping around for a pied. They were no longer 20K, but they were still too expensive for me. So my darling hubby decides if I can't buy one outright, I can breed for one. So he contacts a breeder and orders a het pied pair for me. Nago the male, and Toki the female.

Toki did well for the first year, she ate very well and grew like a weed. Then she hit the "1000" gram wall. She went off feed for 8 months. In the meantime I started collecting other snakes, including another het pied female and eventually a low white pied male.

Slowly Toki came around, and little by little she gained weight again. This season she finally started breeding for me. Of course, I paired her to my visual pied in hopes of producing a visual pied of my own. There is something to be said for making your dream snake, even if you could buy it.

Tonight my dream has come true, and my beautiful Toki gave me 4 lovely eggs.

Here's hoping I get my 50/50 perfect pied!

    Gale
    1.0 Low-white Pied - Yakul | 1.0 Granite het Pied - Nago
    1.0 Mojave - Okoto | 1.0 Vanilla - Kodama

Yeah, that is totally how I felt about pieds the first time I saw them. And that is totally how I felt when my het lavender albino laid her first clutch last year....

Best of luck! Hope you get the world's most amazing pied in there.

I'm with you! I started with Pieds and saved up and bought two females in 2007. In 2008 purchased a male. They did not take last year. The male did sire a clutch with a Lesser and I held back two females.

This year, I've got a het pied (that was given to me as a male but turned out to be female) laid ten eggs and a pied who laid seven eggs. Our other pied female looks like she is going to lay in a week or so. To top it all off, the first clutch of Pieds is due to pip on my birthday! I'm patiently waiting until then.

Hope you hit the odds big time and that your four eggs come out all pieds! I know how long I've waited to produce them and am very excited too. Here is a pic of my female that gave me seven that are due to pip on my birthday:
