Het red axanthics actually are not a recessive morph (stupid name IMO)
Het red axanthics are a co-dominate morph. Either it is visually there or it is not.

Het red axanthic is the heterozygous form and the homozygous form is the red axanthic similar to a het Ivory AKA Yellowbelly is the incomplete dominate form of an Ivory.
Definitely confusing, just like ....there are no co-dominate traits in ball pythons, incomplete dominate traits yes, co-dom no...
