New Colombian Rainbow Boa
I picked her up today from Ben Siegel's here in South Florida. I happened to win an auction for her last night after I saw it at the very last minute. I've been wanting a rainbow for a while now (any of the locales).
She's still without a name, but I have put her up in a little plastic shoebox with all the fixin's for now. Already feeding on pinkies.
She's so f'n tiny, lol.

Very easygoing and curious. Already seems comfortable with me, and not a biter at all.

Nice pickup! I was watching that auction last night....thinking about bidding. Decided that if I bought another snake my wife would be mighty pissed....lol.

I almost didn't bid, and then when I decided that I would, I almost didn't make it because I was looking up care sheets to be 100% sure I could properly take care of this snake. I put in the bid at the last second and figured I didn't make it. But I did
Dr. DooLittle, ain't she small?? From the pic, I thought she'd be at least a foot, but she's a squirming pencil. I'm being careful when I hold her, though I won't handle her much for a few days anyway.

Aww, she's beautiful. I love the Colombians and their grays/silvers. If I hadn't found my Brazilian first, I would have got a Colombian. Congrats on the win!

Re: New Colombian Rainbow Boa
Thanks, everyone. I'm finding it very difficult to not reach in and grab her, but I'm pretty good about leaving new snakes alone for several days so I'll let her be.
I'm trying to find out how quickly these guys grow? She can't be much older than a hatchling right now.

They're the best herp shop down here by far. They are a good 30 minutes from me, but I don't even know if there's anything closer as I've never bothered to look.

Funnily enough, I had just re-"liked" their page after some weeks of not seeing any auctions (I'm not on FB a whole lot anyway). Good timing, I guess.
