I've recently been reading World War Z. It's not bad so far.

I both liked and was disappointed by that one. A lot of the stories seemed as though they got cut off just as they were getting really interesting, and the writing isn't exactly amazing. That said, it still managed to hold my interest, so the underlying idea and story must be good.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

Yeah it's alright so far. Some things seem overly cliche or forced, but like you said good enough to keep reading.

I started reading that book but couldnt get into it because of how it was written. I found it really weird and didnt really care for it.

ANyone have any other good zombie books though? I wish stephen King would write a zombie book!

Aw, no mentions of the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jaqueline Carey? I've re-read the base trilogy at least 3 times since I discovered the books a few years ago. Especially all those of you touting the 50 shades of Grey books - try adding semi-historic fantasy and high court intrigue and politics, along with wars and spies, and thats a decent picture of what these books are like.

Anne McCaffrey, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman (Good Omens, anyone?), old Anne Rice, the Wicked books (Wicked, Son of a Witch, A Lion amongst Men), Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, I could list writers for a long loooong time

    1.0 RTB (Cassanova*)
0.3 Nicaraguan RTB (Type 2 Black Eye Anery w/Genetic Stripe. Eevee*, Daeva, A*)
0.1 Corn (probably corn/rat mix. Trouble)
    1.0 Splendida King snake (Freebi)
    1.0 Leopard Gecko (Little Dude*)
    0.2 Halloween Crested Gecko: (Thing1*, Thing2*)
1.1 Columbian BCC (Oolong, Pippin. Currently fostering with a friend)

I love all the books By Sophie Kinsella whose real name is Madeleine Wickham, she is more popular by being Sophie Kinsella and long before she gets more famous for writting the book "Confessions of a Shopaholic" here are some of the books she also written and these are all worth reading.

    Sleeping Arrangements
    The Wedding Girl
    Cocktails for Three
    The Gatecrasher
    Swimming Pool Sunday
    A Desirable Residence

Note: If you'll try to look and buy for these books, the name she used is her real name so the books are all by Madeleine Wickham

If you wanna read a book that will blow your mind, "The Gnostic Gospels". Depending on what kind of reading material you are in to.
