I am new to BP's (actually don't have one yet) but my understanding from the numerous other threads about feeding problems is that you should not be trying to feed them on consecutive days. If they don't eat, wait until the next scheduled feeding date (usually 5-7 days for a baby BP) and then try to feed them. I believe that the idea behind this is that trying to feed them daily will stress them and make them less likely to eat.
