    Confused on something I've got?

So, a few years ago my uncle went to Vegas for a pool tournament & brought me back a glass rectangle with some type of sand looking stuff in it that is in the shape of an alien face, eye sockets, nose holes, designs in the sad stuff, and when you sit it on the light it came with, the sandy stuff almost illuminates brighter than the rest of the glass it's in. Can someone please tell me what it is that I've gotten..

Do you have any photos? It sounds like some kind of 3D sand sculpture...

Sounds like the sand has some sort of phosphorescent (blacklight activated) dye in it. That's my guess from your description, anyway.
