    VE-300x2

So I ended up getting a VE-300x2 today at the expo. I was originally going for a herpstat 2 but got a really good deal on the viv plus the flexwatt I needed. Just wondering if anyone has any pros and cons with the two.

    Thanks,
    Sky

How much did you pay? From reptile basics?

Lol. That's where I got mine too! I've dealt with them a few times and always a good experience. I ended up getting 10' of 4" and 4' of 11" flexwatt along with the thermostat.

I only have Herpstats and a single Helix, so I can't say. I know they're pretty popular (the VE series) and if you got a deal on them, all the better.

Thanks. I'll be running my racks off of it from now on. I've been running a basic herpstat up until now which will now become my incubator thermostat.

I'm a fan of VE thermostats. I also use Helix and Herpstat. You can't go wrong with any of them. All three are good quality thermostats. Good purchase.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be building my adult rack this weekend coming.

The only comment especially with a rack i would HIGHLY recommend a fail safe t-stat. The fact that if the probe is ever pulled loose the VE will try to overheat the rack is reason enough for the second t-stat. The hydrofarm ones seem to be fairly good at this task, although the reliability of a VE100 might be less concerning.
