I have 2 clutches of corn eggs cooking right now, both had 8 eggs each. I did my research and no one in my area breeds corns. With in 2 hours in each direction there are 4-6 ball python breeders, including some very respectible breeders (ie Tim Mitchelle) So I decided to go with corns up here.
It's 100% up to what you like/prefer. Corns can have huge clutches, my big girl had 26 slugs. If all 3 had that size and all fertile I would have had 75+ hatchlings to care for.
Do some researh, find out who is in your area, competion wise. Remeber most corn snake morphs are recessive traits so you need matching genes to make morphs. My two clutches will likey be all normals(testing the one female), but will carry the genes I need to make my goal. So I'll be lucky if I cna get $50 each for the ones I don't hold back.
