You might look a a good one and a bunch of cheap ones. You know how sensitive the probes are to damage. A halfway decent lab grade one will run what 300-500$ the guy I have been buying my thermometers from sell them to me for 1$ each I buy 20 at a time and get 14 or so correct ones the rest read the same (or so) and are basically correct. (about 1ºF error) When they get damaged I pull it into a to be checked box. It likely be cheaper and easier in the long run.

The specs place it as twice the accuracy of the acurites as well. 1ºC (2ºF)
