    weighing snakes

i feel kind of dumb asking but when you guy's weigh your snakes do you do it after they do their business or dont feed for a while then weigh them?

ive been weighing mine after they go but im sure that the lat thing they ate is still in there and might add weight to them.

I weigh my snakes after they poop. They should be around their true weight because they are relatively empty of all waste.

I think most people weigh them right after a bm, I weigh mine then or at some point after a bm but before the next meal. And just randomly.

I agree with the others. Weigh after they go.

My snakes poop usually one day after I feed (im assuming the new meal causes a bm cuz all of my snakes do this lol) so if I do weigh them its the day before I feed.

I weigh them kinda whenever i feel like it lol. Usually ill do it the day after i feed all of them just so i know thats all their weight full. Because not all of them poop at the same time for me, but generally they all eat at the same time for me. Its obviously not as accurate but i know that so its all good.

I weigh them whenever--the weight difference between a full and empty stomach is not significant in a larger context (a couple of months either way), and besides, my hatchlings that are on a 4 or 5 day schedule are never 'empty'.

I weigh mine the first of each month. Over time, it evens out the empty vs. full factor and lets me track their growth in 30 day intervals.

I also just weigh them whenever. I just pick a day and take weights for everyone regardless of when they have eaten last or when they have poo'd. It doesn't really matter a whole lot.
