continuous shedding???

I need some help. I got a 3000+ gram female ball from a friend in late january. I bred her 1 week later with my pastel male. With 2-3 confirmed locks but not any other seen. I may have missed others. Durring may and now she has been constintly shedding. Once in mid april then eary may and then mid- late may now she is in full shed agian. I first thought the first shed in april was her shed before ovulation. I havent seen ovulation but i saw alot of building i may have missed ovulation. The second shed i thought it was her POS then the 3rd i thought it might be her POS. Now she is shedding agian. Is this a good or bad sign (breeding wise)?? Any ideas why this mite be? P.S. Every day i open her tub she looks bigger. Also she is still taking food willingly (very small weaned rats) Please help any one???? Any answers will be greatly thanked.

I can't comment on breeding but rapid shedding can be caused by injury
. I don't know what else might cause that. i would take a close look over for rot (mouth or belly) or trauma. This is the only thing I know of that may cause rapid shed cycles.

Mites or some other irritant can also cause them to shed repeatedly.

My cinny seems to be doing the same thing, and she's never been injured or have mites.

I had a young corn snake that shed on a similar schedule. I gave him a drop of a good bird liquid multiple vitamin in a dead mouse and he straightened out.

Its been proven in many species that breeding females need extra vitamins/minerals compared to nonbreeders. Insufficient vitamins in the mother can produce stillborn babies and congenital deformities.

IMO, that python is using stored vitamins to produce eggs and lacks enough to shed properly, too. I'd get extra vitamins in her ASAP. Good luck.

well if she lacked vitimins to shed while is she shedding so frequently? I would think that without vitamins she would not shed as often.
