I bought The zoo Med under tank heater, and it didnt have a thermostat?

UTH's do not come with thermostats. But they must be regulated by one if not they can easily get hot enough to kill your snake.

Other signs of RI include:

Mucus
Elevation of the head
Bubbles in mouth/throat
Wheezing

Many cases of RI are caused by tank temperatures that are too low...
