Rhp :/
Got my new PVC cage and herpstat 2. I had my rhp accidentally unregulated and had ambient temps of the low 80's.
I realized I had my fluorescent light on the herpstat and switched it to the rhp. I have the rhp set on dimming over 100 degrees and my temps are in the mid 70's. Help?

Ambient should be more low-80's than mid-80's, imo. 78*-82*ish.

For what? Ball pythons? I think anything between 75-85 is just fine for ambient temps.

Over that short Period of time those temperatures aren't going to cause any issues.

Radiant heat panels don't really change the ambient temp much anyway. They heat objects not air, same as a uth. What is the air temp with the probe not exactly under the RHP. My guess is the air is being heated by the fluorescent light and the surface of the hides the rhp. I have been testing one for quite some time I found even running at 160º it only increased the air temp 5º while the surface temp was over 100º.
