Did you notice behavior or anything like the pics in this link? If so she could be gravid....

That is the site I use as a reference. it picture documents each step in the breeding/building/laying process.

i "rescued" it from a fake rescue on CL. I have no idea whether its male or female, I am going to get it probed in a couple of days. The guy I got it from is very ignorant about snakes and snake keeping. He held its tail and sort of put his thumb on the vent to "sex" it without exposing any hemipenes or lack thereof. He was selling it as a lesser woma which obviously it isn't either. So I have no idea if its been bred, what its been bred to, whether its male or female. I am just wondering if I should get the incubator running because it is much fatter than any bp I have seen that wasn't gravid.

    Did that "thing" ovulate?

From the picture angle it could be anything you need to hold the snake head up tail down, from the back and side to give us an idea.

If the "thing" ovulated and is in an advance stage you should be able to count the eggs.

It is one hunky snake and no it is clearly not a lesser woma. From what I have heard from frequenting this forum adults are much harder to pop and usually must be probed to sex them. I have never tried to pop my adults however I bought them from reputable breeders and so I trust they are what they are said to be. It sure would be cool if you got a gravid lady!

i have not seen any ovulation...it seems way beyond ovulation, more like due to pop any day. i will take some side belly shots this evening after work. it would be cool to get a gravid lady, it would be a little less cool to get hatch out all normal babies since it is such a pretty looking snake. or its a male and i'll be breeding it to my lesser female when she is of size.

it would be a little less cool to hatch out all normal babies -... meaning i hope it was bred by some morph males or it is a morph itself. sure is dinkery to me. totally clear belly, bright and blushed and reduced...that brightness might be from glowing though. so many questions. def not going to get anything else from the fake rescue thats for sure. i don't like having so many unanswered questions that could easily be answered by a responsible snake breeder.

That snake almost looks light enough to be a fire and I haven't seen enough mochas to know one but my gut would say that it's probably just a light normal considering the place you got it from. Most definitely isn't a lesser or a woma anything because you'd be looking at a much brighter snake with a radically different pattern.

As for if it's gravid or not, I'm not seeing any bumps that would indicate that there are any eggs in there but if it is indeed glowing, you could have a female in ovulation but... my gut honestly leads me to agree with Andybill and say this snake is just husky.
If you want to sex it, definitely go for probing because adults are near impossible to pop (or maybe that's just me).
