So I've been pairing since early november. I still have no eggs or anything. One of them is still locking (I think) should i just wait a few months and start again in august

This year I'm going to give up as soon as they all ovulate. Ball pythons can, and do, breed and produce eggs at any time of the year. You'll have your best luck holding them apart for a while, keep an eye on the weather reports, then put them together just before a storm front is supposed to move through your area. I've noticed that low pressure will help to trigger breeding behavior.

Re: when do you give up
It can be frustrating, but don't give up. I had 3 of my 4 females breed successfully this year, but my prize girl, a Lavender Albino Het Dreamsicle, went cold on me. My advice, if she goes back on food, feed her aggressively and get her weight up. Personally I would wait until early fall and start pairing them again. Hang in there, things will happen! Good luck,

Woohoo! If rain makes them frisky then I wont have a problem. I live in Washington and Im sure youve heard.... It rains all the time.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are....

If they're locking, keep pairing! If the female decides she will not breed this year, she will stop producing the pheromones that attract the male, and they will stop locking. If she becomes gravid, they will stop locking.
Ball pythons keep their own schedule, sometimes.

Keep at it if you want to. I start breeding in November as well, and so far I only have one clutch this year. Last year my latest clutch was laid in August. That's pretty darn close to a year of pairing!
