it always makes me laugh whenever I hear people in the market for a 'big snake' dismiss boas out of hand. you have a great example right there. how old is she?

The story on her is in fact unknown. The lady I got her from actually found her in a barn several years ago. She couldn't have been there long. Kentucky winters would wipe out any non native snake. So she approached it and knew it had been at least handled some as it was not aggressive at all. She took it home and kept it a while and then donated it to a science dept. at a nearby university. A year passed and she went to visit the boa and she said it had been horribly neglected. She then demanded to take it so it could receive proper care. The following year she was going to relocate and her new living situation would not allow her to keep the boa. She posted an ad on Craigslist and I responded. I've had her almost a year now. She is about 8 1/2 ft and weighs about 40 lbs. Gentle as can be. My nieces named her Tangled. I wish I knew her full story, but she seems to be thriving. I've contemplated breeding her but I havent found a male that I wanted yet. Thanks so much for the positive comments. I really think she is special.
