Nice work, but remember balls are terrestrial snakes, not arboreal. I think a carpet would enjoy that jungle gym a lot more than a ball would, though some balls are quite the climbers for their owners. BTW did you get those plants at Walmart? They look exactly like the ones I buy
Oh, and make sure to get a thermostat for your UTH if you don't have one already.

Did you use PVC glue on the "jungle gym"? If so, did you let it air out for a reaaaaallllyy long time? Even though balls aren't typically climbers I like it....it also takes up room in the tank giving your BP some more sense of security.

Re: Sam's new DIY setup (with pics)
Well....Sam is.....different. lol. he loves climbing, and was having a blast on his new jungle gym before i took the pics. from what i've been reading, most hatchlings climb a little more than their adult counterparts, so i figure, why not let him do what he likes to do?
To answer the questions, i do have a thermostat, and i didn't use any glue. everything is very snug fitting and pushed together with force until it "locks" in. all the open ends are covered with caps, so he can't try to squeeze into the pipes themselves.
And i DID get the plants at walmart.
To answer possible future questions, everything was washed with a bleach/water solution, then rinsed thoroughly and air dried. (mostly because poor little sam had mites when i rescued him from the evil, evil pet store, and i'm not taking ANY chances of a recurrence)
