    Post Aggressive!

So I got my Pastel 100% Double het clown pied from Garrick Demeyer and after shipment he was alright. I picked him just just fine and adored his looks for a minute then got him settled in his nice clean tub. Its been over a week and he is just FURIOUS at all times!! Ready to strike any second. I just picked him up for a minute and he was cocked back ready to strike and about bit my hand before I put him back before he got too stressed.. Do you guys think there's any chance of him chilling out if I handle him every other day for a bit? Or will he most likely just be one of those snakes thats a grumpy ole' guy? I hope not because he's so pretty I just want him to chill out so we can kick it together lol

How large is this BP? Most little ones grow out to being defensive all the time.

    Re: Aggressive!

Aside from the numerous obvious reasons that a ball may be a bit nippy-any of which could be the case in your situation, many people also tend to forget that when buying from a breeder who works with some quantity, you're not likely buying an animal that's been handled much from out of the egg, which may make them more sensitive to handling/interaction. If experience tells me anything, it would be that your snake will calm down.

    Re: Aggressive!

I just got a shipment of 6 snakes from Garrick. They were all very calm and docile when I first removed them from the package. Same as you as soon as I got em all nestled and set in the tubs, the Mystic and the spider went into butt kickin' mode. I can leave the room for a few hours, come back in and the mystic is head buttin' the side of the tub trying to tag me. It's like she never leaves a state of extreme aggression. The spider isn't quite that bad but if I slide out the tub to check on her she definately means me harm. The rest are fine, just chillin out and don't seem to care. I'm pretty sure it's just a phase for some snakes and they will eventually calm down. Some just gotta settle in a bit longer.
