My bp is soaking in new water bowl.

now she didnt used to soad, or I just never saw her doing it, but shes soaking in her water bowl now not alot or anything. she is going into shed and I want to think its that. shes also a little fat... which is my fault. could it just be shes soaking for shed and only worry if she continues once its off?

Have you carefully checked for mites under a bright light?

What is the humidity level in the cage?

Why would you say she's fat? BPs, especially females, are naturally thicker-bodied snakes.

Check for mites first. They'd be easy to spot in the water dish after she's been soaking, since soaking is generally done my snakes to try and drown the mites. She shouldn't be soaking if she's going into shed because it can make bad sheds (at least when owners do it). She could also be soaking because of low humidity. If her humidity is correct (check the caresheet, if you're not sure) and she doesn't have mites, she might just be doing it because she feels like it. BPs can be silly creatures sometimes.
