Looking for a good snake species book

I am looking for a good book on the various species of snakes. Something along the lines of those 500+ page books about mammals, the ones that have pictures and information (lengths, weights, natural habitats, etc.). I'm looking for one about snakes specifically, not just reptiles in general, detailing the various kinds of boas, pythons, vipers, etc. Searching on Barnes & Nobles and Amazon brings up tons of results but its hard to tell if they're really what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions for a book that sounds like it would fit my needs?

    With All Due Respect,

Problem is There is nothing new on the market...

The Atlas of Snakes of the World by John Coborn is good but that is position from 1991 and in light of new discoveries and taxonomic changes very outdated... but Still i Believe best what market have to offer....

Big Problem is Price.. Used Starts from 70$ New from 500$

The Alternative is The Mini-Atlas of Snakes of the World.. by John Coborn as well. is like "portable" version of previous book from 1994 (still over 700 pages) and You can find it from 16$ for used or 20$ for new

I will love is somebody else chip in here... especially from Europe and they Publishers...

Maybe in Old World they have something more actual and on the same level...

Re: Looking for a good snake species book

I remember checking out a book from the library a little while ago called 'The Encyclopedia of Snake Species'. It's average tbh, nothing really special. You may be interested in it, but here's the info. JIt was published in 2009, it mentions 2,700+ snakes, and on Amazon it's about $49 for a new one. Downside is that it isn't 500+ pages, it's 200.
