    Another egg question.

Ok so I went to open my incubator to just check in on my eggs and it smelled like DEATH in there. So I checked on my one box and it seems like 4 out of the 6 of the eggs have changed a bit.
The one pictured on the bottom right has a bit of white fuzzy mounds on it, and the 4 eggs seem to have changed into a sort of translucent like shell. They almost look wet, but they are not.
I quickly candled them again and it seems like all the eggs that look wet dont have much going on in there, I dont see any veins anymore.
The ones that dont look "wet" still have great clusters of veins.
My flashlight did kinda suck, I can check tomorrow with a better one.

The only one not stuck onto to the other eggs is the one on the bottom right. The rest are stuck together. So I assume I would just leave them in there? The live eggs should be uneffected right?
Any input on this matter would be great, cuz it sure does stink in there.

I think if some of the eggs are going bad it would be best to seperate them all, but I don't have any breeding experience to back this up so please correct me if I am wrong about this.

I do believe if the eggs are stuck together then your not supposed to try to remove them, its too risky for the good eggs.
But we'll see what someone with experience says.
They are just really stinky lol

Ok, so I got a much better flashlight and I recandled the eggs. All the eggs candle like the stinky ones except one.

    Stinky eggs number 1
You can see a circle of red (embryo maybe?) but no veins, the rest of the egg is clear.

    stinky egg number 2
Same thing, the red spot is smaller in this one.

    Untitled by zombiecupcake155, on Flickr

the one egg that actually has veins
Now THAT looks better, I'm assuming then thats the only good egg in this entire clutch?...

So I suppose I have to carefully remove this egg from the rest of the stinkers? Any pointers on this, or just carefully? lol
I'll wait to get more input before I continue.

I think the typical answer is to leave them and that it probably won't hurt the good egg.
If you wait until you are 100% the eggs that are stuck are bad you can cut the shell of the bad eggs where they are stuck to the good egg without worry of tearing the good egg, then clean the shell to keep mold and bacteria away

If you decide to pull them apart be very careful

I just think I might have to seperate that one good one.
Those other ones are just so foul I know that air cant be good for the good egg.

Are the bad ones kind of jello like at the bottom, like a semi hard mass?

no, they feel and look just like a good egg but maybe slightly deflated/sunken when touched. But that smell...is BAD. After opening my incubator this many times my kitchen is starting to smell.

Is your lid dripping on them at all?

If you peal them apart you will run the risk of damaging the good egg, if you cut the bad eggs off you run the risk that they are still good.

If you are sure they are bad, I think cutting the bad ones off is the safest way, just clean the good egg with a slightly damp paper towel after and leave the small part of the bad shell attached to the good egg
