abnormal baby bp behavior?
Fed my baby bp a live hopper for the first time (past 3 times fed him f/t hoppers with no problem) and he fed after just a few minutes. Not sure if he took the hopper head first or not. Anyway, he hadn't moved from his hide for 4 days and today I went to try hold him, lifted his hide and found him balled up. When I went to handle him he jerked around and hissed at me, so I let him be. Is this normal behavior? Could this be because I haven't handled him for a while? 2 weeks ago I handled him using the dominating technique ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7DQssbM0uk ) and a few days later tried feeding him an f/t hopper and he refused.. so I let him be for a week and fed him the live hopper which he took immediately.
Thanks for reading!

I don't think that it was abnormal, you probably startled him, and he reacted. I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes a habit for him.

Re: abnormal baby bp behavior?
He sounds perfectly normal. Balls get cranky like everyone else. It could be that you woke him up and startled him, or he could be in a shed cycle which tends to make them more cranky. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Usually about once a month. Of course it depends on how much you feed them and how often.

most young BP's will shed about once a month. As they get older sheds become less and less frequent until they only happen a few times a year.

I've had him for about a month now so maybe he's just cranky cause he's gona shed .. Also, he hasn't pooped ever since I got him and he's eaten 4 times. Read around and apparently I should be expecting a stinky surprise after he sheds xD

Young BPs tend to put the vast majority of what they eat to good use by making more snake with it. But, it's not uncommon to find a poop in with a fresh shed.
