You know phobias aren't always logical, right?

Everyone laughs at that poor Cotton Ball lady on Maury. Except me. Why?

I. hate. Cotton. Balls.

I hate touching them. I hate having to open up a new pill bottle to find a cotton ball, because I don't want to touch it. I hate the sound cotton makes when you squeeze and roll it between your fingers. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Even some dish clothes have that same 'dry' feeling that cotton balls have.

It's not so much a 'fear' as it is an 'I can't stand it'. It really is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Everyone laughes, obviously, haha. I hate picking up dry dish rags sometimes, because some have that same kind of feeling. Like those blue dish clothes when they've been used too many times and get kind of 'frizzy'.

Then again, while we're camping, I'll go and pick up the spider that everyone is screaming about on the picnic table. I'll go and shoo the occasional frog off the porch. Catch a neat bettle. Pick up creepy crawlies. Go and take close-ups of bees as they're hovering around the crab apple tree.

So, we all have our quirks. Some just make less sense than others. I obviously don't scream about cotton balls being near me, but if you asked me to pick up a handful and squeeze them, I'd probably very much dislike that idea
