    Unintentional field herping.

So tonight I was driving along when I found a giant box turtle. It was a female, I didn't have a measuring tape with me but placed her on my arm and measured it when I got the chance. She came out to 7 & 1/4" roughly. The record for the largest ever found is 7 & 13/16".

I also found this little guy (or girl)

I brought it inside to snap a few pics. Now it's back where nature intended it, frolicking in the woods.

That's awesome!! There was a toad out in my backyard a couple weeks ago. Very neat to see nature sustaining itself.

I love finding herps accidentally... unfortunately, that's the only time I can ever find them.

Same here, usually find them when I am fishing.

Beautiful little frog We found a frog once trying to climb the sliding glass door, but kept getting stopped because the dog was smashing his nose against it Collected him and set him somewhere safer in the front yard.
