Prominent Spine?
So many of you were helpful regarding Sheldon and his "shyness" issues. Hes still not really wanting to be bothered, but does not strike the cage every time we look at him. He has now eaten 3 times with no issues and is due to eat again tomorrow. Hes gone through one shed also.
This evening I thought I'd see if I could get him out of his enclosure without issue. It went fairly well, but his spine seems too prominent to me. Having only dealt with corns, I'm not sure if this is a BP trait or not. Thoughts?

Re: Prominent Spine?
Pics would help...good ones would help better...though a ball python's spine really should not be very well defined.

You are going to need to put pictures up so we can see what youre seeing, and to get the best possible help

It really depends on the snake, and the position it is in when you see it.
Sometimes I notice one of my babies looks really triangular when I am holding them, especially if they stretch out. But put the snake down on the floor and let it crawl, and it goes back to being round like a ball should be.
Some pictures of you holding him that point out what you see, and then more of him crawling flat on something will help us pinpoint if he's a little skinny, or if you { like so many of us } are being a paranoid snake mommy.

Re: Prominent Spine?

Here are a couple I was able to get of him. I'm not sure they really show what I'm talking about, but hopefully it will help. Thanks again for any input.
