Just a question though, how do you know if they are turning towards you to strike at you or because they are curious?

It becomes fairly obvious after the bite. I kid, I kid.

If the neck is in a really tight S, and the head is tilted up at a 30-45 degree angle, you might have a strike coming. Other wise, they're probably just checking you out.
