One of my favorite things about my girl! In her dark phase her pinks come out crazy bright and deep. It's so cool. They can change color right before your eyes. I always compare it to the way a bearded dragon will get very dark, and the almost chocolate black, or deep blue/black bands will suddenly come out if you take them outside in the sun. We call them their solar panels! Lol!

Mine does this especially when trying to put her back into her Boaphile. She immediately turns around and does everything in her power to prevent being put back. I have to guide her head into the door and she finally goes in, but is clearly very annoyed at having to go back lol!

I also love that she's so inquisitive and will not hold still for long when holding her. She just wants to GO!

She's only barely over 5 ft now and pretty hefty. Very muscular. She's going to be a handful when she hits 8ft.

This adorable face gets me every time too. She's the most beautiful snake in my collection

    (Dark phase)

    (Light phase)

Re: I love my Boa because..........

I love my boas because they are the sweetest, prettiest, sassiest, funniest garbage disposals I have ever had the pleasure of having in my house. I absolutely adore their very unique and animated personalities and how they can be such stubborn brats sometimes (okay, most of the time...)

And I really love having big snakes around the house, but you just can't deny...

The baby bug eyes are SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE.

I love my boa.... Cause she will rap herself around my neck or lay on my belly for hours on end. While other times she will move until I can no longer take it.(:
I love the ridged shape of her triangular head.
I loooove that she's not shy compared to my ball.
I just love my baby, she's my favorite snake. <3

Oh this is a great thread! Lol at the "boa flail"! They need to feel secure. I just love the curious laid back personality. He will chill with me forever, then have a fit when I try to put him back. They are so social and curious, not shy at all. He likes to "stuff his beak" right in my face. Like he has to touch my face with his or something. And there is never a worry that he is going to bite, he's not at all interested in that. Just a very outgoing little snake. And the light to dark phase is crazy. Mine has been stuck in dark for awhile, and his pinks are crazy when he's dark. I just love my boa!!!
