For sure, at my College (University of Central Florida) We have a Heavy Metal Club... so we all find/get new music/bands from each other. I have simply learned not to ask where it was downloaded from lol I like to support the bands that I like, and do so as often as possible.

More labels are starting to get stuff over here but its still mostly main stream like nightwish and such. I got most of mine in college too. Exchange students with sister schools in places like Tokyo help But the really good stuff is almost impossible to find torrents of and itunes doesn't have rights to them. I have also notices that some of the music I have gotten from itunes has disappeared off my device the last time I did an up date and it doesn't show in my purchase history. Make sure you always burn a hard copy!

Pirate metal is bad a$$ !

In highschool all the shop teachers ( wood working, automotive, and metal work ) were all metal heads (all 3 different teachers) So we would always be aloud to play our music during class.

I have actually gone to a concert with one of those teachers!

While I'm a huge Thrash Fan (Old-School or Teutonic), I do enjoy Folk metal a lot, but for reason I can't stand most Symphonic Metal.

And for sure it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's symphonic, since right after Thrash, my favorite music is Classical and Symphonic/Orchestral music.

How about some plain old Melodic Death Metal like Dethklok? Hands down one of my favorite bands.
