Shes never held any but shes touched them, watched them eat, and held their sheds. Im up to 4 bps, soon to be 5, and shes totally fine with it. I would even go out on a limb and says she sorta likes them lol. My stepdad and uncle had snakes when they were younger so of course they like them. My moms sister married a guy who was a reptile nut but by the time he married her he only had a hognose left.
My grandparents that live next door to me are the only ones who hate them now. My grandmother cant even look at them or she gets scared lol. My grandfather always comes over and checks them out or likes to watch them eat but if i take them outta the tubs then he goes running and says he'll chop their heads off lol.
I would sit down with your parents and have a very serious conversation with them about why they dont want you to get a bp and why theyre afraid of snakes. Alot of the reasons people are afraid are simply myths. Make a list of their concerns and fears then come here and post a thread or just PM me if you want. I will to my best to honestly explain any concerns they may have. Then you can show your parents to convince them. Here are some good reasons why a bp would be an awesome pet or reasons that you could tell them why you want one:

Theyre fairly cheap to buy initially and to maintain compared to a dog, cat, bunny, ferret, or fishtank. For example:
32qt tub- $8 (at walmart or target).
1 ultratherm heat pad- $15
2 RBI hides- $14 (6.89 each).
1 ceramic dog dish- $1 (at a dollar store).
Newspaper for bedding- free
VE-200 thermostat- $115 from RBI. (this is the one i use and i love it. their are other good brands out there though).
Thermometer/ Humidity gauge- $12 from Amazon
TOTAL- $165. Compared to any of the other animals i listed above thats pretty cheap!

Theyre also nice bc you dont have to walk them, dont have to play with them, only have to feed them once a week, they dont smell, you only have to do a full tub cleaning about once every month, they dont make any noise, theyre hypo allergenice and they take up only a very small space. Idk why every kid doesnt get one lol!!!
THIS!!
Most people are afraid of snakes, without having a reason. If you were bit by a snake when you were very little, okay understandable, but about 99% of the fear is conjured up by the media.
And a snake is by far the lowest maintainance pet I've ever had. Feed her every 4 days, she poops once a week. Plain and simple
