Head rubbing?

We picked up a 50% Dwarf Retic at the last expo and she is a joy, but she seems to be rubbing her head on something in her tub. So far there is no blood and it isn't raw but it does look as though she is rubbing the top of her head on something to the point where scales may be coming off.

I put some neosporin on her head last night and will upload a picture when I get home, is this common behavior in retics or large pythons in general? Any tips for getting her to stop. She is currently in a RhinoRaxx rack in a 16qt (if I remember right) rub. Temps are spot on and the rack is hooked up a Herpstat intro.

Retics push. If she does rub it off keep it clean and it should heal over the next time she sheds. Our breeder male is horrible about it when its time to breed.

I've noticed that our retics mainly, but our burms sometimes, tend to push and/or rub. Hopefully the neosporin you put on doesn't have the pain relief. Betadine is the best to put on a wound.

No it's the original formula, I know not to put anything with pain relief on them. I'm likely going to switch her over to newspaper or paper towels if she keeps it up, I prefer using cypress for humidity but with her head rubbing and her tendency to burrow into her substrate it might help.

Will betadine help her heal faster?
