    I'm getting a Ball python :D

    A person who lives about 103 miles from me was selling several of their ball pythons on Craigslist and I bought her pastel female. I've been doing a ton of researched and am so excited to get her on Monday. I would of had her last weekend but my mom made last minute plans so I couldn't drive up to get her.

    I had planned to put her in a 30g terrarium we had in the garage(I know she'll need at least a 40g) but after reading several different web sites I decided to go with a tub at first to see how I like it since I've read they tend to like tubs more, and climate is easier to control.

    When I get her Monday I'll post photos in the picture section

    Can't wait to see pics! A tub is probably the best decision you will make. The environment seems much easier to control in a tub, and bps always seem to do well.

    Congrats!!

    Congrats!

    Caution: Ball Pythons are like potato chips, you can never stop at just one!

    I'm happy everyone supports my decision to try the tub When my friends saw it they felt weird about it and said it seems like I'm not giving her the proper environment. I'm going to melt in ventilation holes tonight. Apart from that I'm using aspen, I have 2 hides, and a water bowel

    @Gloryhound
    That's funny you mention that XD Once my girl is older(she's only a year) I'm probably going to let my friend breed her with her spider ball python. We decided if there's a spider I get it, if there's a bumblebee she gets it, and if there's two bumblebees we both get one lol

    @4ballz
    Wow, that's a lot XD If I didn't have my galah cockatoo, she's my icon, I'd be probably be willing to buy another, but I don't have a huge budget because most of it goes to her.

    I forgot to mention, I once had a ball python before but it didn't end to well. after 11 years he managed to get out of his terrarium for 3 months(we think into the wall) and once he was healthy again he became aggressive It was heart breaking to see my buddy became something I was afraid and cautious to handle. After 3 years I ended up giving him to a friend who knew how to handle a aggressive(and now cage aggressive) snake. I had a lot of anxiety about getting another and my friend and I agreed that I needed to get a older snake who was used to being handled and make sure I have a escape proof habitat. I'm also older and smarter, I got Taurus in elementary school and now I'm 22 university student, with a job, and working at petsmart lol
