Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, only breeding him multiple times would let you know if he passes it on more than occasionally.

I don't know if the stripes on the females I produced will carry over to the offspring, I'd assume some will get it and some won't, just like my black pastels that are jungle pattern also throw blush back black pastels
