    Any tips ?

You all prob know that I have my het clown female who I 'thought' was gravid but she ate today

I haven't seen a lock between my male and female so assumed he was a shy breeder, She is more than ready shes tail wagging and scenting but he just hides and doesn't act like he's interested ( He's a definante male ) I have tried putting him in with another male to get him fired up but nothing, tried another male shed again no joy, tried a car trip and again nothing. I don't know what else to try he's producing sperm so all is good there he's 2 years old as well. I was contemplating putting her with another male but I don't want to risk producing possible hets and it could cause more complications than anything else down the line. So I scrapped that idea instantly lol.

    I appreciate any help

My male cinny was being a turd about breeding too. And I tried it all as well. I just keep pairing him with girls and then he started locking.
Maybe try removing the hides? I don't use hides so I don't have that issue.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out. The first year breeding my het clown female I thought for sure she was gonna go. She did the glowing and building thing, and then nada despite many pairings.

The next year I just used a different male het, and ended up with eggs.

Maybe she just wasn't ready the first year, or who knows.

If she's tail wagging I highly doubt she's gravid...

She does look gravid though even after a feed wasn't a large rat, I can't really use a different male het on her though. Its really got to be this male or none It could complicate things much more if I put her to a different male.

I will keep on trying them together and who knows lol

She does seem to be tail wagging, Its a shame really was looking forward to a clutch from her. I hope the male sorts his shizzle out and eventually gives us some beautiful off spring.

Just thought I'd post up a little update, Caught her last night underneath her water bowl doing this,

I can't get over her size considering she only ate a small rat! She is supposed to be due to lay on the 28th May,

    Today,

Have you palpated her and/or witnessed an ovulation? Get a pic of her belly while you hold her up, if she is due May 28th you should be able to just about count the eggs in her belly. Good Luck

I have tried palpating her but I dont get much feeling with my hands, I 'think' theres something there but unsure. I never witnessed an ovulation but I did go away for a week so it could of been during then.

I don't like getting her out much when shes like this saves stressing her out lol. I have another female which shed the same time as her and I can see lumps when she lays in certain places. But she felt the same as the het clown does a week or so ago.
