I would beat my damn kid with the iPad, then buy your in laws a new one!!!

Seriously, I wouldn't beat my kid with it, but the thought would cross my mind!! I don't understand how parents like these can look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of how they parent. I'm sorry, but it is just wrong. I truly hope your in laws get the police involved. The kid definitely needs some repercussions for what he did wrong, and those parents need to learn they are solely responsible for their child until the age of 18.
