The way my snakes move their hides around in the night reminds me of when I was in college and used empty 30 rack boxes and duct tape to create a light-proof seal around my windows so I could sleep till 2.
My bee roams around quite a bit and the others are rarely seen unless I take their hide off. I'm still waiting to pop off a hide and see no snake.
I'll go with 1 hr of activity for my most active male and only if he hasn't eaten in a few days. He hangs his head out of his hide quite a bit waiting for food in S position, but I don't consider that being active.
